What Luminous Rebirth is

The surface comes first. In Prism Garden (100 x 100 cm, acrylic on canvas, 2026) the studio's text describes washes rather than mass: pigment diluted until it moves on its own, allowed to run and settle, in layers thin enough to see through. In Violet Tempest (100 x 100 cm, 2026) the stains are poured, tilted and left to settle while a burst of white arrives in a single gesture. In Vibrant Awakening (100 x 150 cm, 2025) the text speaks of broad, fluid gestures and translucent layers in which reds, blues, greens and yellows coexist.
The series belongs to the studio's first documented body of work, painted between 2025 and 2026 and organised in six concurrent series. Colour in the room: warm fields, cool fields
Inside one series the palettes run in different directions. Solar Rain and Vibrant Awakening are warm or multi-coloured; Veil of Light and Celestial Drift are built from blues. The studio's text for Violet Tempest places it in a room with natural light, where its translucent passages change through the day, and describes its palette as cool and luminous rather than saturated.

Scale. Measure the wall and compare it with the listed width and height; cutting a sheet of paper to those dimensions and taping it up is the easiest check. The largest work in the series is Vibrant Awakening at 100 x 150 cm; the squares are 100 x 100 cm.

From the studio
From the studio: colour as layers, not as paint
I trained as an architect, and I read these canvases as I read a section: what is laid first, what is let through, what is left open. In Prism Garden the colour is built in washes thin enough to see through, and the vertical yellow threads are drawn by gravity rather than by hand. In Violet Tempest the stains are slow and the white is one gesture. In Veil of Light the sculpted ridge is the structure and the blue is the climate around it. Luminous Rebirth is part of my first documented body of work, from 2025 and 2026, and each canvas is a single original.
