What a virtual studio visit looks like for a buyer who can't travel to Brazil
A remote visit to Perfeito Studio is not a walk through an open studio, because there isn't one. It is a sequence the buyer sets in motion: detail photographs and video of one specific work, sent on request over WhatsApp, read alongside the work's page and exact measurements. A scheduled viewing in Brasília remains an option.
First, what "studio visit" can and can't mean here
The phrase suggests a room where the artist works and a visitor walks in. That is not how Perfeito Studio is arranged. There is no separate gallery or open showroom: the works are held in Brasília, Federal District, and part of the collection is on view at INTI, in Lago Sul, a working clinic that hosts the paintings. A viewing there is arranged directly with the artist over WhatsApp, in advance, rather than on a walk-in basis.
For a buyer who cannot travel to Brazil, the useful question is therefore not "can I tour the studio?" but "what can I see of this particular painting before I decide?" The rest of this guide answers that.
The remote sequence, step by step
1. Start from the work's own page. Each painting's page in the gallery carries its medium, dimensions in centimetres and inches, year, Archive ID, availability and price in Brazilian reais. For Amber Strata, for example, that is mixed media with acrylic on canvas, 150 × 100 cm, 2026, Archive ID AP-TAE-2026-004. Treat that page as the reference everything else is checked against.
2. Get a sense of the whole collection on screen. The site's virtual tour is a digital gallery, not a view of a real room: it moves past the available works hung at their real size, each with its title, series, measurements and price. It is a way to compare scale and series, not a substitute for seeing a specific canvas.
3. Ask for more of the work you are considering. The studio sends additional detail photographs and video of a specific work to buyers outside Brasília, on request, through the same WhatsApp channel used for any other question. Every painting is already photographed in detail before it leaves the studio, so this is an extension of existing documentation rather than a special service.
4. Read the paperwork before the money. Every acquisition is made directly from the artist and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity with the full technical record and Archive ID, a fiscal invoice or official receipt, an acquisition agreement, an artist dossier, care guidance and professional packaging. The collectors page lists the full package, so the buyer knows what will arrive before committing.
What to ask for in the photographs and video
A request is easier to answer well when it is specific. Reasonable things to ask for: a straight-on view of the full canvas; a view with an object of known size beside it, so the scale registers; and close-ups of the surface, since textured and layered paintings carry most of their character in the relief. Our guides on judging real size from online photos and on colour accuracy online go into why each of these matters.
It also helps to say what the painting is for. A buyer planning a particular wall can send the measurements and a photograph of it; the guide to what to photograph before ordering for a space you can't visit lists what to include. Photographs and video are still a record of one moment and one set of lighting conditions on someone else's screen, which is why a buyer who is in Brazil at any point may prefer to compare them with a viewing in person (see buying in person or remotely).
What to confirm with the studio before you rely on it
Some practical points are not published as standing policy, so the safest course is to confirm them directly on WhatsApp rather than assume. Whether a live video call can be arranged, and at what time given the difference in time zones, is one. Whether the certificate and other paperwork can be provided in the buyer's language, and which payment method applies to an international purchase, are others: confirm with the studio.
What is stated is this: the studio ships within Brazil and internationally; shipping is quoted per destination and paid by the buyer, as are any import duties or taxes in the destination country; professional packaging is included and transit insurance is available. International shipping is quoted on request, so ask for a quote for your own address as part of the same conversation. From the studio
From the studio
Take Amber Strata, 150 × 100 cm, built in horizontal passages of ochre, bone and oxidized umber, with small flecks of gold. It is horizontal on purpose: the eye is meant to travel sideways across it, the way it reads a stratum or a slow shoreline. A single still photograph holds one frame of that movement. A short video panning along the width, or a close view of where the gold sits in the surface, gives a remote viewer something closer to the way the painting is actually read. That is why I would rather send a buyer a few specific views of a canvas than one polished image.
Frequently asked
Is there a virtual tour of the studio?
There is no open studio or showroom to tour. The works are held in Brasília, and part of the collection is on view at INTI, a working clinic in Lago Sul, by appointment. What the site offers is a digital virtual tour of the available works at real size, with their titles, series, measurements and prices, plus extra detail photographs and video of a specific work on request.
How do I ask to see more of a painting?
Message the studio on WhatsApp, name the work you are considering and say what you would like to see: the full canvas straight on, a view next to an object of known size, or close-ups of the surface. The studio sends additional detail photographs and video of a specific work to buyers outside Brasília on request, through that same channel.
Can I arrange a live video call with the artist?
A live call is not described as a standard part of the process, so ask directly. Mention your time zone and which work you want to discuss, and the studio will tell you whether a call can be arranged. Detail photographs and video of a specific work, sent on request, are the documented way for buyers outside Brasília to see more before deciding.
Who pays for shipping and import duties if I buy remotely?
The buyer pays. Shipping is quoted per destination and paid by the buyer, as are any import duties or taxes charged by the destination country. Professional packaging is included in the purchase and transit insurance is available. International shipping is quoted on request, so ask for a figure for your own address when you ask about the work.
What do I receive with the painting if I never see it in person?
Every acquisition is made directly from the artist and includes the original painting, a signed Certificate of Authenticity with the technical record and Archive ID, a fiscal invoice or official receipt, an acquisition agreement, an artist dossier, care guidance and professional packaging. The certificate carries a QR code linking to the work's official page on the studio's site.
