Looking for an emerging Brazilian abstract painter for a group show? What to check — and one studio's verifiable record
Before proposing an emerging Brazilian abstract painter for a group show, check four things: the consistency of the work across series, the formats, the documentation and the logistics. One verifiable example is Alyne Perfeito, a painter in Brasília whose first documented body of work, 2025 to 2026, includes vertical formats from 70 × 100 cm to 120 × 200 cm.
What a curator can check before putting a painter forward
Genesis of Flame (Heart of Chaos, 2025) is mixed media on canvas, 120 × 200 cm (47 × 79 in), in acrylic and metallic pigment with high-gloss and matte finishes. A vivid red nucleus ignites from a deep black ground, with silver, copper and rose fragments around it. The studio states that it has no fixed top or bottom and can be hung either way up, a point that matters to anyone planning a wall.
A group-show proposal puts one painter beside others, so the checks are practical ones: whether the language holds across the work, whether the formats fit the space, whether the documentation is ready, and how the work travels. These are observations, not a published standard, and no part of this page describes how a particular curator or institution decides.

Four checks: language, formats, documents, logistics
- Language across series. Alyne Perfeito's current body of work is organised in six concurrent series: Heart of Chaos, Matter & Silence, Luminous Rebirth, Black & Gold, Terra & Ether and Water & Bloom. Silent Interval (Matter & Silence, 2026) reduces the picture to one dark gesture descending through a bone-white field and a block of blue at the lower edge; Genesis of Flame is an eruption of red. The question for a curator is whether the same decisions return in both.
- Formats. The four works on this page are all vertical: Celestial Drift 70 × 100 cm, Quartz Seam 98 × 152 cm, Silent Interval 120 × 160 cm and Genesis of Flame 120 × 200 cm. Most works are large-format mixed media on canvas; Water & Bloom is a series of smaller framed works in watercolour and acrylic on paper.
- Documents. Each work has a catalogue record with series, year, medium, dimensions in centimetres and inches and an Archive ID (Silent Interval is AP-MAS-2026-003). For exhibition proposals, high-resolution images and the technical record of any work are sent on request.
- Logistics. The works are held in Brasília. The studio ships within Brazil and internationally, with freight quoted per destination. Terms for exhibition use, such as loan or transport, are not published on this site.
Reading the surface: one detail
Quartz Seam (Terra & Ether, 2026) is mixed media with acrylic and imitation gold leaf (metallic leaf) on canvas, 98 × 152 cm (38.6 × 59.8 in). The detail shows a seam of metallic leaf standing in relief across a field that moves from rose-mauve to pale grey, with the canvas weave visible and small metallic flecks scattered around it. The metallic leaf is sealed with a spray sealant. A surface like this is not legible in a full-wall photograph, which is why a curator can reasonably ask for detail photographs before deciding.
Formats side by side, and what is on record about the painter
In the visualisation below, Silent Interval (120 × 160 cm, 47 × 63 in) hangs on a white wall above a long wooden bench with a grey armchair at right, which gives the format against furniture. It is a digital visualisation, not a photograph of an installation; no installation photographs of these works exist yet.
On the record: Alyne Perfeito is a Brazilian visual artist and trained architect based in Brasília, and this is the studio's first documented body of work. There is no exhibition, prize, gallery representation, institutional collection or published criticism on record, and this page does not suggest otherwise. What a curator can verify is the work itself and its catalogue entry: every painting is unique, signed and photographed in detail before it leaves the studio. For the artist's profile see Alyne Perfeito, Brazilian female abstract artist and her artist statement; for proposals, the page for galleries and curators lists the contact (WhatsApp and contato@perfeitostudio.com).
For those acquiring: scale, light, viewing, documents and shipping
Scale. Genesis of Flame is 120 × 200 cm and Celestial Drift is 70 × 100 cm, the two ends of the formats named above. Ask the studio for the dimensions of any work in the unit you plan with.
Light and viewing. Genesis of Flame combines gloss and matte finishes, so detail photographs help. The works are in Brasília, and part of the collection is on view at INTI, in Lago Sul, where it can be seen in person by appointment arranged over WhatsApp. There is no separate gallery or open showroom, and INTI is a working clinic, so visits are scheduled rather than walk-in. For buyers elsewhere, additional detail photographs and video of a specific work are available on request. Weight and fixing details are not published; ask the studio for the information on the work you are considering.
Documents. Every acquisition is direct from the artist and includes the original, unique painting; a signed Certificate of Authenticity carrying the technical record and the internal Archive ID; a fiscal invoice or official receipt; an Artwork Acquisition Agreement covering transfer of ownership, copyright and image use; an artist dossier; conservation and care guidance; and professional packaging. The certificate carries a QR code to the work's official page. The list is on the acquisition page.
Shipping and payment. The studio ships within Brazil and internationally. Freight is quoted per destination and paid by the buyer, as are any import duties or taxes in the destination country; professional packaging is included and transit insurance is available. International shipping is quoted on request (shipping). International buyers can settle in USD, and the studio replies to international inquiries within 48 hours.
From the studio
From the studio: the same hand across different series
Genesis of Flame comes from Heart of Chaos and Silent Interval from Matter & Silence. Their catalogue texts describe opposite temperatures: a red eruption from a black void in one, a single dark line falling through bone-white space in the other. Alyne Perfeito, an architect by training, works each at large scale, 120 × 200 cm and 120 × 160 cm, where the surface is read from across a room and again from close up.
The studio does not claim an exhibition record. The claim is that the work can be examined: formats in numbers, detail photographs, and a catalogue entry for each painting.
Frequently asked
What should a curator verify before including an emerging painter in a group show?
Four practical things: whether the language holds across several works, whether the formats suit the space, whether the documentation is ready (a record for each work, detail photographs, a technical sheet) and how the work travels. These are observations, not a published standard. A curator can ask the studio for high-resolution images and the technical record of any work.
Who is Alyne Perfeito and what does she paint?
Alyne Perfeito is a Brazilian visual artist and trained architect based in Brasília. Her current body of work, painted between 2025 and 2026, is organised in six series: Heart of Chaos, Matter & Silence, Luminous Rebirth, Black & Gold, Terra & Ether and Water & Bloom. Most works are large-format mixed media on canvas. It is the studio's first documented body of work, with no exhibition, prize or representation on record.
Which formats and series are available for exhibition proposals?
The works on this page range from 70 × 100 cm (Celestial Drift) to 120 × 200 cm (Genesis of Flame), all vertical, across the Luminous Rebirth, Terra & Ether, Matter & Silence and Heart of Chaos series. The works are for sale, and this site does not publish terms for loan or exhibition use, so a proposal is a question to put to the studio directly.
Can high-resolution images and technical sheets be sent before a decision?
Yes. For exhibition proposals, high-resolution images and the technical record of any work are sent on request, and for buyers outside Brasília additional detail photographs and video of a specific work are available through the same channel. Requests go to the studio over WhatsApp or to contato@perfeitostudio.com.
Where are the works physically, and can they be seen in person?
The works are held in Brasília, Brazil. Part of the collection is on view at INTI, in Lago Sul, and can be seen in person by appointment arranged with the artist over WhatsApp. There is no separate gallery or open showroom, and INTI is a working clinic, so visits are scheduled, not walk-in. The studio's own registered address is not published.
